SOS-TORTURE BURUNDI REPORT NO. 463 PUBLISHED ON 27 OCTOBER 2024
This report by SOS-Torture Burundi covers the period from 19 to 26 October 2024, focusing on cases of human rights violations in Burundi.
During this period, at least four (4) people were murdered in the provinces of Bujumbura and Ngozi, three of whom were killed by bullets fired by an agent of the Burundi National Police (PNB). Another person was seriously injured under similar circumstances.
The report also notes the case of one (1) person arbitrarily detained in Rumonge province and that of two (2) people who were kidnapping by agents of the National Intelligence Service (SNR) in Bujumbura town and in Makamba province.

This report by SOS-Torture Burundi covers the period from 12 to 19 October 2024 concerning cases of human rights violations in Burundi.
During this period, at least two (2) people were murdered by officers of the Burundi National Police (PNB) in the provinces of Muyinga and Rumonge.
The report also deplores the case of one (1) detainee who was seriously injured by a police officer in the province of Cibitoke and one (1) student who was abducted in the city of Bujumbura.

This report by SOS-Torture Burundi covers the period from 5 to 12 October 2024 concerning cases of human rights violations in Burundi
During this period, at least four (4) people were murdered in the provinces of Cibitoke and Ruyigi.
The report also deplores the case of one (1) detainee deprived of his right to health in Bujumbura central prison, as well as that of one (1) priest who was abducted by agents of the National Intelligence Service (SNR) in the city of Bujumbura.

This report by SOS-Torture Burundi covers the period from 28 September to 5 October 2024 concerning cases of human rights violations in Burundi.
During this period, at least one (1) person died at the Kamenge University Hospital (CHUK) following the refusal of the director of Bubanza prison to authorize his transfer to a care facility adapted to his illness.
The report also deplores the case of one (1) person who was abducted by the provincial head of the National Intelligence Service (SNR) in Muyinga province.
