This report of SOS-Torture Burundi covers the period from 14 to 21 February 2026. It documents cases of human rights violations committed on Burundian territory.
During this period, one (1) person was murdered in Bujumbura province.
The report also denounces the cases of six (6) people who have been arbitrarily arrested and detained, including five journalists arrested in the course of their work.

During this period, three people (3) were murdered by a policeman, a soldier and Imbonerakure[1] in the provinces of Bujumbura and Butanyerera.
Members of the youth league affiliated to the ruling party, the National Council for the Defense of Democracy-Forces for the Defense of Democracy (CNDD-FDD).

During this period, three people (3) people were murdered in the province of Bujumbura.
The report also denounces the case of one (1) person who was kidnapped by agents of the National Intelligence Service (SNR) in the province of Butanyerera.
